About

Maiev (Jeff) and Otak (Karla) Real Life :)

I love art. I don’t know what or how to describe but I really do. Over the years, I’ve received countless amount of gifts and kiribans, as well as spending thousands of dollars into commissioning artist (yes lol)!

It is also through commission that I know lurazeda/Otak :D!

Overtime, I’ve fell in love with giving out FFXI fanart commission as well. Not only you get so personalized in return, but you are also helping out artist out there to do what they like to do. Art in most cases, is not perceived the most stable career of choice but with apps and small games being in demand, artist are also becoming more important and you can help out by commissioning artist! Let them practice and in return, get something personalized for yourself.

This website is made to showcase all the gifts / commission that I ever got. Not only this gives you a GOOD idea of what you can get for a small amount from $25-50, but what you can DO to HELP artist!

I’ve compiled an article on Art Commission Etiquette for those that are interested :P

I want to draw something for you

Maiev with Fenrir Prime - FFXI FanartHehe really? ^^; Many people have done it :) I really do appreciate every piece of art and I do thank artist either by buying a coffee for them or in RARE cases, even make them a website of their own to promote their artwork :) such as for Aaaghie and Daggy. That is just my way of supporting artist :) to hopefully be successful :D Yes, fully managed hosted solution from nothing to showcase :)

I appreciate every piece of artwork! I turn them into GIGANTIC Posters (24×36), I turn them into Christmas Cards! I’m even creating a website to showcase your awesome work! So no, artwork given or drawn for Mai&Otak is treasured :D, not just another jpeg in a FFXI Artwork folder on my computer!

Daggy and Aaaghie have gifted me stunning artwork for one simple reason, they LOVE what they do and don’t ask for anything in return. They just LOVE doing it :) and I’ve awarded these wonderful people with a site to promote their work :D. I’ve printed their artwork on poster size print for viewing pleasure too! Its stunning to see the shear amount of details in it :O!
